Former Journey to the Savage Planet developers buy IP & form new Raccoon Logic studio - mcgowanmangst

The IP rights to 2020's Journey to the Savage Planet have been bought by a new studio made up of former staffers from the game's original developing team.

The newly formed Racoon Logic is made up of several manufacture veterans who were former members of Typhoon Studios. They include former creative director Alex Hutchinson who was also antecedently the manager along Utmost Cry 4 and Assassin's Creed 3. He's joined by Studio Head Reid Schneider who was likewise an enforcement producer along Batman: Arkham Horse.

Also devising leading the new squad is CTO Yannick Simard, a lead programmer on the forward two Determine Dogs games. The final two names in the announcement are Erik Bilodeau, a past technological artist along Batman: Arkham Origins and Marc-Antoine Lussier WHO was a design theater director connected the first quaternion mainline Assassin's Credo games.

Though they stop short at committing to a sequel to Journey to the Wild Planet, the new Montreal based team cause already secured an first investiture from Chinese firm Tencent. Hutchinson says of the new studio apartment: "We making love general games, games with a sense of humour and a big heart, and games with strong flavours that get reactions from players. We're loss to keep ambitious on those ideas and we'll have something to show soon!"

Reid Schneider adds: "We're super nervous to continue the bring off we started at Typhoon Studios, and build upon the Travel to the Savage Planet franchise in the future."

Journey to the Wild Planet was Typhoon Studios first and exclusive game before the studio was acquired by Google in late 2019. The company worked connected Google Stadia for a little piece following the game's release, only unhappily wouldn't get to announce a second game before the decision was successful to shutter Google's internal game developing studios earlier this year.
